Herons:

I encounter them very often, probably because they live in many of the places I go to, including where I live. Also I like to bike, hike and canoe  in or near wetlands. The are fun to see in flight but you might have to wait a while observing them before they decide to take off. All of my heron pictures have been taken in the wild and most of them in Quebec or Florida.
